This weekend felt like an episode of FRIENDS! The ground may have been wet, but we got lucky with this one. Last Saturday, it poured allllll morning so we were convinced that it was going to be a wet one. This crew was ready to embrace the rain whole heartedly, but to our surprise, the sun came out for a bit right before this groups dinner reservations at The Chart House in Annapolis for Kendall's Sweet 16 Birthday Dinner!

Although it wasn't raining during our time together, I'm so thankful I invested in these clear umbrellas because they made this session so unique and I know they'll eventually come in handy again! We had cute props, got more than 100 insta-worthy photos, AND we were dry (except for our feet from all of the puddles lol.) so I'd say this Mini Session was definitely a win for all of us.

“You got a dream, you gotta protect it. People can't do somethin' themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want somethin', go get it. Period.”

They treated me like I was some naive artist with an unrealistic dream for how the world works but I knew better. I will also never forget how proud I felt graduating with two degrees that represented so much hope for who I wanted to become after college despite the criticism I received along the way. To be honest, I never really knew WHAT I wanted to do, I just knew WHO I wanted to be.

Today, I run my own Photography Business, partner with other entrepreneurs & creatives to try to bring color into this sometimes grey wo...

This weekend, I had my first full session of the year which was an exciting reminder that Spring is quickly approaching! I got to explore one of my favorite locations, The Patuxent Wildlife Refugee, with one of the cutest families of all time! I love it when the whole fam embraces the nature and gets lost in the adventure during our time together. I had so much fun getting to know the love story behind this precious family unit. I cannot wait for warmer weather and more sessions like this one. Feeling super thankful after this one!
