This family made my heart so so happy. Ryan and his son Jamie love Lauren so much and the three of them together just melted my heart! Jamie is the most polite little boy and Ryan & Lauren's love beamed from their souls. I loved getting to explore their backyard and capture these memories for them. They are genuinely some of the sweetest people ever!
What a beautiful day it was celebrating the marriage of Mr. & Mrs. Simpkins last weekend on the Chesapeake Bay! Alexandria and Ryan spent 194 days apart before their wedding. Soon, they will be moving to Japan for their first few years of marriage for Ryans next assignment with the Air Force. The similarities between their relationship and mine & Williams are endless. The instant connection, their friendship, the challenges of the military and the distance. Between that and the way they looked at each other, my emotions were out of hand! I was seriously crying tears of joy all day for them! I just love these two and can't wait to watch them do life together in this next chapter of marriage, world travels and big adventures! Congrats again to the newlyweds!
On Tuesday, I was honored to capture the Brenner's first week with their new baby girl! This was one of those sessions that made me sigh and say, "Wow. Life is so beautiful." In-Home Sessions always seem to put me in my feels, but add a newborn baby and chocolate lab into the mix and my heart turns to totally mush. Congrats again to this beautiful family and welcome to the world baby Emerson!
Last week, I shot one of my favorite city sessions ever! Morgan and BJ wanted their engagement photos in Fell's Point, Baltimore since that is where they had their first date & I'd say we channeled our city vibes pretty perfectly! It was special to hear their love story while exploring this adorable cobblestone-filled city. I encouraged them to sip wine and reminisce about their memories here which brought out their giddy personalities effortlessly. Congrats again to these soon to be newlyweds!
This maternity session really put me in my feels last week! I'm so thankful that my job brings so much happiness and celebration into my life. From families to friends, weddings and babies, I really have seen it all this past month. Capturing these life moments means so much to me and makes me super grateful that I'm in a place in my life where I can do photography full time. Caroline and Elan were the sweetest expecting couple and I can't wait to hear the name of their baby girl when she arrives! Congrats, love birds!
What a dreamy wedding this one was! I loved being a part of this intimate, romantic wedding at Hunting Hill Mansion in Newtown Square last Saturday. Gail and Glenn were smiley and smitten all day long and their vows were just the sweetest! We were a bit nervous about the weather, but the misty fog added to the mystical vibe of this majestic venue. I was honored to make the trip to Pennsylvania to capture this timeless love story!
I have been SO antsy lately to capture a "She Said Yes!" moment, so I was ecstatic when Jordan reached out to me about photographing his proposal to Roxanna in a stunning Botanical Garden outside of D.C.! This morning, I woke up with butterflies because proposals are of course always exciting, but also because this was my first time being front row for an engagement! I loved being a part of this intimate memory for these two cuties, and I'm super thankful that they trusted me to capture their story! Congrats, Jordan + Roxanna!
My heart melted too many times to count during the Sloan Family's snuggly in-home session this afternoon. There is something so very special about being invited to photograph people under the comfort of their own residence. It is so fun to see them open up and let their personalities come alive in front of me and my camera. I always feel like I get a little sneak peak into my client's lives, but in-home sessions are on another level. I am always humbled by their trust in me to capture the essence of their story. I was smiling out the door after this one! :)
Last weekend, I had the opportunity to photograph this intimate reception for Michelle and Neal's wedding! Their ceremony was actually this past Fall, but I was honored to be invited to capture the love between this new family bond before their official celebration. I'm always amazed by how connected I feel to my clients after my sessions with them. Even if it's only for an hour, there is something so darn special about being present for emotional moments like this. A big congrats to these Newlyweds!
This weekend, I had my first full session of the year which was an exciting reminder that Spring is quickly approaching! I got to explore one of my favorite locations, The Patuxent Wildlife Refugee, with one of the cutest families of all time! I love it when the whole fam embraces the nature and gets lost in the adventure during our time together. I had so much fun getting to know the love story behind this precious family unit. I cannot wait for warmer weather and more sessions like this one. Feeling super thankful after this one!
